Roeland Park is turning 75, and we could not be more excited to celebrate this milestone with all of you. For 75 years, our city has been built on strong neighborhoods, dedicated volunteers, and the kind of community spirit that makes Roeland Park such a special place to call home.

To mark the occasion, you may start noticing new commemorative banners lining Roe Boulevard, celebrating our 75th anniversary and the pride we share in our community. But the celebration doesn’t stop there. In our recent community survey, many residents shared that they would love to see more opportunities to gather and connect, and we heard you loud and clear. Throughout the year, our incredible volunteer committees will be hosting a 75th Celebration Series featuring events and activities that highlight the many interests, talents, and passions within our community. We hope the wide range of events planned this year gives every resident a reason to take part in the celebration.

We are especially thrilled to announce the return of RoeFest, which hasn’t been held since 2008. RoeFest was a long-standing Roeland Park tradition that dates back to the mid-1990s and quickly became a favorite annual gathering each fall. For more than a decade, the community showed up year after year to celebrate together. The event paused in 2008, but the spirit behind it never faded. Now, for the first time in nearly two decades, RoeFest is back with fresh energy and an expanded vision!
